My eyes are heavy from not having had my regular 8 hour quota of sleep. In fact, had to make the compromise in my 5 minute beauty regimen today – skipped the Revlon eyeliner routine. Thought it would weigh them down further. However, my eyes belie the restrained enthusiasm that I’m experiencing on the inside. Today, after about 22 days on the new job I’m feeling at home in my corporate environ. Rather inconspicuously, I feel like my initiation rites have ended. Shared a couple of jokes with the previously do-not-disturb colleagues, some offered me advice on life, some drew detailed road maps of Bangalore for me … feel like I’m home finally.
