Keeping it Real

Catch Up On What You May Have Missed

My writer’s hat has not come off for a few weeks as I’ve been creating content for websites, church small group meetings, workshops, and wedding ceremonies.

So, this week I’m going to pull the ‘busy’ card and point you to two articles I wrote for The Gospel Coalition India in February.

I pray that both these articles will bless you, especially in this season of Lent.

How Observing Lent Can Help You Grow in Christ

Although observing Lent is not a biblical mandate, it can deepen your meditation on the gospel and heighten your joy in the hope of Easter.

How God Redeems Daily Inconveniences

In a decidedly imperfect world, how can daily inconveniences, frustrations, disruptions, and chaos become opportunities to rely on God’s grace?

Click here to read the article.

Also, I’d love to hear from you. Do let me know in the comments section about what kinds of articles or topics you would like to see on my blog. More devotionals for daily reading? Pieces on Bible reading? Dealing with doubt? Practical steps on walking with God? Parenting? Marriage-related content? Would love if God used my content to meet you where you are. So do write in. Thanks so much.

    Hi Susan,
I was just so encouraged by your blog …. I hope you remember me from KYF days …I was trying to reach out to your sis Pia as well but sadly she didn’t remember me either …Anyways I needed a plan for my daily reading plan … and with the season of lent and the place I was in, I wanted something more relevant and I stumbled upon your plan in the Bible app… you don’t how much at home I felt on stumbling upon a plan authored by a friend …. OUR GOD knew exactly what I needed … thank you Jesus and excited to start your plan… I hope to hear back from you …

Hi Anita! Thank you for getting in touch. I have a terrible memory but I looked you up on Facebook 🙂 And I do remember you from KYF days. Thank you for your kind words about my blog. And it’s so cool that out of all the Lent plans out there, you picked mine. God is so good and kind in how He hears our heart’s cries. I hope you find the plan a blessing. Do keep in touch. Susan, I do enjoy and appreciate your writings. They are inspiring and creative. As far as ideas for content, I like to look for writing that stems from God’s word because from there I know all truth is found. I desire for my reading to point me to truth that the world cannot give.
I do like to share your insights often. Continue writing from your Spirit filled experience and allow scripture to shine its truth.
    Shalom, Tim

Thank you for that encouragement, Tim. I too love when a piece of writing points me to truth. I pray I will be faithful in spending time at His feet and writing what God reveals from His Word. Appreciate your input. Blessings, Susan

  • I’d love to read posts about living the Christian life in India. What does it look like? What is similar and what is different about it, compared to living in the United States? Any time I get a chance to read about the Christian life in foreign countries, I’m all in.

Thank you, Cathy. I’d love to write more about the topic of living the Christian life in India because it’s close to my heart. It probably comes up organically as I write on other topics, but it would be good to specifically hone in on this topic in separate posts as well. Appreciate the suggestion. Blessings, Susan
