Keeping it Real
Advent Devotional (Week 3): Amazing Love, How Can It Be?
As we start week three of Advent this Sunday, December 17th, we’re going to dwell on the topic of love.
Honestly, of the four themes of hope, peace, joy, and love that we’ve dived into in our Advent devotional, I was most intimidated about writing about love! I know, weird, right? But God’s love is infinite and radical and boundless—I felt inept in capturing that magnificence in a week’s worth of devotionals. But then I was reminded that “perfect love casts out fear.”
I didn’t have to capture God’s love in words—I couldn’t possibly do that. But I could revel in that lavish love. I could soak in that ocean of overwhelming love. And I could do what I am called to do—to share a smidge of that eternal, overwhelming, perfect love through the words He gives me.
So, that’s what I’ve attempted to do through Week 3 of the Advent Devotional: Amazing Love, How Can It Be?
If you haven’t started the readings yet, it’s not too late to catch up. The point is not a perfect reading track record, but being still before God so we can catch a glimpse of His beauty this Christmas.
Here’s a handy dandy menu of the devotionals from Week 1 and Week 2 of ‘Waiting For The King, A 21-Day Advent Journey’

Advent Week 3: Amazing Love, How Can It Be?
In the days leading up to Christmas, I pray that we will all still ourselves to marvel at the hope, peace, joy, and love that God displayed by sending Jesus for us.
Before I sign off, I’ll be taking the next couple of weeks off from writing and will join you again in the new year.
God has been good in giving me opportunities to share His words with readers from around the world who spur me on in my faith. 2024 will be the 20th year of my blog! Thank you for your encouragement in my writing journey.
Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and a blessed 2024.
