Several friends and I are wrestling with what exactly are we believing God for? To answer our prayers in the way we want him to? Is it ok to expect that? What exactly does he promise us and what does he not? It is a good reminder to be in the Word and learn exactly what his promises are. But the prayer part is still hard. Should we believe for miracles, or accept disappointment or suffering as refinement? Is that mature or defeatist and lacking faith?
