The 100 Days of Praise Challenge

That’s right. There are 100 days left in 2026.

Impossible, am I right?

Like every person of a certain vintage, I, too, am thinking: How did time fly by so quickly?

It feels like “just yesterday” that we were ringing in the new year. And now, we’re just three months and a few days away from the end of it.

Yet, as we stand at the brink of the last 100 days of the year, I’m compelled to ask: God, how best can I honor You with my moments?

Recently, I’ve been learning that consistency is key to change. Rather than changing 100 things over the next few months, it may be more effective to change just one thing over the next 100 days—just one simple, repeatable, doable, enjoyable, God-glorifying thing.

For me, that thing is one praise a day.
(Yes, just one.)

For the next 100 days, I would like to commit to writing down one distinct thing that I’m grateful to God for.

It could be that something about His character became sweeter to me that particular day.

It could be a quiet blessing that day that I would have otherwise overlooked.

It could be that I get to chat with my mom, see the orange-pink bougainvillea nodding cheerfully on my walk, or eat some freshly baked vanilla butter cake for tea.

Whether big or little, praise helps me recognize that each day is a gift from God.

And I believe 100 days of praise will add up to me being more in awe of our great, big, wonderful God.

We may have ordinary days, stressful days, joyful days, infuriating days, painful days, lonely days, or busy days—but His Word reminds us of His everyday love and care for us.

He is the God whose compassions are new EVERY MORNING. (Lamentations 3:22–23)

He is the God who DAILY bears our burdens for us. (Psalm 68:19)

He is the God who provided manna for the Israelites EACH DAY in the desert.

He is the God who gives us DAILY BREAD through His Word that sustains us.

We can count down from 100 starting today. But, more significantly, we can make our days count by praising God, from whom all blessings flow.

Would you join me in the ‘100 Days, 100 Praises’ Challenge?

This is not a public display of devotion. This is something between you and God—a consistent time of gratitude, a holy habit that we doggedly incorporate into our lives for the next 100 days and, eventually, all the days of our lives.

Even in our most ordinary days, we can find 10,000 reasons to praise our extraordinary God.

Let’s choose just one.
